The qualifiers which were scheduled to start by 18 November, 2020 in Togo will now take place in Benin Republic on 5th December to 20th December, 2020.
The flying Eagles media officer, Andrew Randa Revealed the new date on his official Twitter handle. “The WAFU B U-20 qualifiers earlier scheduled to start on 18th November 2020 in Togo will now take place from December 5 to 20 and will now be hosted by Benin Republic.”
While accessing his team’s chances of qualification, Ladan Bosso, the Coach of the team was high on confidence about his team’s capabilities of qualifying in Mauritania despite minimal preparation.
Bosso said, “Everybody is going there (Togo) to compete for a slot. We are in the same group with Ghana and Ivory Coast and I believe it is a blessing in disguise,” Bosso told reporters.
“We are training for an competition not just for one match. We are confident that we will qualify from this group and move to the next group.
“The most important thing is to get prepared and get the mindset of the players very positive, and forget it.”
