The UEFA Champions League is back for the second time in the 2020/2021 season, having already watched some fantastic football on Matchday one with the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Lazio, Atalanta and Barcelona giving us something to cheer about.
Today, I’ll be picking some games that deserves our attention and should provide a lot of glorious moments for the Matchday.
- ATALANTA VS AJAX
The Italian side have been having a tough time in the league this season with back to back losses to Napoli and Sampdoria, but they showed glimpses of what they are about on Matchday 1 and will be looking to continue their fantastic form in Europe against an Ajax side who lost on the previous matchday but demolished an opponent during the weekend 13-0. This match should provide us with loads of goals and a lot of attacking displays.
- JUVENTUS VS BARCELONA
The Laliga giants are having a difficult season under Ronald Koeman with just two wins in the league this season and having lost to Real Madrid on Saturday, they face a Juventus side who are also facing the same challenge under Andre Pirlo, although they remain unbeaten but they have had more draws than win.
What a lot of us wants to see is Cristiano Ronaldo VS Lionel Messi. The top two footballer for over will be facing one another for the first time since the Portuguese left Real Madrid for Juventus. A must watch match for every lover if the game.
- MAN UNITED VS RB LEIPZIG
The English giants started their Champions League campaign with a surprising win against last year’s finalist in Paris Saint Germain while also producing a fantastic display against Chelsea over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Leipzig have been fantastic all season with a deserved win on Matchday 1 alongside sitting top of the Bundesliga table ahead of Bayern (yes, u read that right) but it’s still early season, you know.
This should also be a fantastic match to look out for.
