Saudi Football Club Al Hilal have completed the signing of Odion Ighalo from Al Shabab on a permanent deal.

The 32-year-old who is currently the top scorer in the Saudi Arabian League signed a one and half year deal with Al Halil this evening.

Former Watford player arrived at Al Shabab in the February of 2021from Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua after spending the first half of last season away from the club at Old Trafford with Manchester United on loan.

Ighalo will replace Bafétimbi Gomis whom the Asian champions announced his departure on Tuesday, bringing to an end three and a half years at the Saudi Arabian side scoring 113 goals in 154 games

Ighalo failed to represent Nigeria at the ongoing AFCON2021 in Cameroon due to Al Shabab refusal to release him for the tournament stating he would have violated the terms of his contract with the club if he had represented his country at AFCON, Super Eagles of Nigeria subsequently crashed out in the round of 16 after losing to The Eagles of Carthage of Tunisia by a lone goal.
