The community team TYC defeated Harnelkey 2-1 in matchday two of Sodubi Super 4 league on Sunday at Sodubi Primary School field, Ojere Abeokuta.
TYC won the match by two goal to one after both team draw in the first half and missed several chances to score.
Reaction after the game, the man of the match Sheriff said he was excited and appreciate his team members for the display.
He also added that the fans should expect more from his team.
“I really thank everyone it was a tough game between the two teams and I thank God that at the end of the day we won the game, our fans should be expecting more of this because we as a team we came here to win the trophy and we are going to win it.” Sheriff said.
The coach of team TYC Babatunde Alfred said he does not count age as anything and he was proud of his tactical analysis.
“Don’t ever say that my coach is young, because the name TYC means the young concept, am so happy that my players are so fantastic, I don’t have any problem with them, they know that the coach decision is final and the understand me.” He said
“My tactical analysis was right, when people were saying I should remove sheriff I refused and believed in him, and I thank God that the tactics I made was useful glory be to God.” He said.
He added that “we had limited players, so I decide to let my defence stronger than the attack.”
“Am so happy honestly, they really impressed me today and I say to everyone that we will do better than this match in our next game.” Babatunde Alfred said.
Meanwhile, Team Always will face Team Harnelkey on Saturday and Sodubi FC will battle Team TYC on Sunday.
