WBA World Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has
revealed that he sees fellow British
boxer Tyson Fury as his most dangerous
heavyweight opponent.
Joshua, 28, is in negotiations to fight
either Deontay Wilder or Joseph Parker,
but believes a fight against Fury would
present him with his biggest challenge.
He said: “He’s just awkward, tall and I
think he’s just a bit of a nut-job to be
honest with you.
“I think he’s just got a bit of a screw
loose. Any man with a screw loose, they
just have something that you can’t put
your finger on.
“It would be a real breakdown job, a real
gruesome type fight, kind of like the
Klitschko fight – I’ll go to hellfire and
back to get the win.”
Fury who has been active on Social
Media making claims he plans a
comeback to reclaim his world titles, but
that could still be a long way off with
plenty of work still to be done for Fury
to get back into fighting shape.
He posted a photo on Social Media
alongside British legend Ricky Hatton
after a workout session, with the
caption: “Looking well here Rick, both in
great shape. Loving the work.”
His shape will need to improve even
more if he’s to take on the likes of
Joshua in the future, but his return
could soon be a step closer after UKAD
confirmed his anti-doping hearing will
finally take place next month.
Fury was called out by Joshua earlier
this month, with the WBA and IBF
champion calling him a “fat f***” on
Twitter and urging him to get in shape
so the pair can face off in what would
be the biggest fight in British boxing
history.
