The influential League Bloggers Award has named Sunshine Stars’ striker, Sadeeq Yusuf as the NPFL’s January Player of the month for the 2020/21 season.
The announcement was made on Twitter this Sunday on @theOfficialLBA handle, and read “#LBANigeria Jury has named @SunshineFCAkure striker, #SadeeqYusuf, as #PlayerOfTheMonth of January 2021 in #NPFL21. Congratulations”
Sadeeq beat off competition from Ndifreke Effiong (Akwa Utd) Chinedu Anozie (plateau united) and Samuel Stone (Jigawa Golden Stars) for the award.
Sadeeq scored five goals in four matches in the month of January against Dakkada (2), Rangers, Lobi and Wolves.
He has also scored a goal in the month of February in his side 1-2 lose to Kwara Utd in Akure.
