Following the recent claim by Manchester City forward, Raheem Sterling that Blacks were not giving the same opportunities in the football industry, Lagos Based Football Club, Pro one Sports Fc Head Coach, Micah Bello has revealed that Greediness is the main problem of African players.

NAIRASPORTS reports that Sterling called for equal opportunities as he joined the Black Live protest in a chat with BBC News insight earlier this week.

According to sterling, “It’s about coming together and finding a solution to be able to spark change because we can talk as much as we want about changing and putting people, black people, in these positions that I do feel they should be in.

“For example, the coaching staff that you see around football clubs.

‘I’ll give a perfect example. There’s Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, you have Sol Campbell and you have Ashley Cole. All had great careers, all played for England. At the same time, they’ve all respectfully done their coaching badges to coach at the highest level and the two that haven’t been given the right opportunities are the two black former players.” he said

Reacting to Sterling’s Comment, Micah said that Greediness and lack of commitments is the major problem of African Ex-players.

He added that Racism can’t be totally eradicated that we should learn how to continue living with it.

He said further that former players can afford to own a football club where blacks players will be given equal opportunities as their white counterparts.

On Nigerian UEFA graded Coaches, he added that most of them don’t want to use the knowledge and experience to develop the round leather game but rather sitting in their room searching for National team Assignments.

According to Micah, “The Majority of the black race doesn’t do things for the greater good, all that most of us care about is our pocket.

“Racism is here to stay, so is rape or any bad things you can think about. They can’t be totally eradicated, it’s better you learn how to live with it or you create your own system rather than mourn all the time.

“If European clubs treat you unfairly because of the color of your skin as an ex-pro (Ashley Cole, Campbell, Drogba, eto’o, etc) then get two to three of your friends and buy a club in league 1 or 2( they can afford to) then build up your own club. You can’t ask white folks to trust your talent with their money when you don’t.

“Beckham, Ronaldo? A league 1 or 2 club in the UK costs about £5-15M (according to information online), they can combine to be a majority shareholder. Two or three big ex-players can afford that conveniently but they don’t want to risk their own money.

“What stops all our UEFA A or Pro coaches to own clubs in NNL OR NPFL(they can afford to if properly branded) but they will rather have an academy (their own pocket) and be searching for national team assignment up and down. Even if you don’t want to risk your own money then become an educator and help develop our coaches rather than wasting UEFA grade knowledge in your sitting room” he said
