Premier League side West Bromwich
Albion has terminated the contract of
their head coach Tony Pulis following
the humiliating 4 – 0 defeat at home to
Chelsea on Saturday, November 18.
The Baggies have won just two games
from the twelfth game played so far this
season, losing six and drawing four.
The club confirmed the sack of veteran
manager Tony Pulis via a post on their
website and also a tweet on their
verified Twitter page.
Chairman John Williams while reacting
to the sack of Pulis said: “These
decisions are never taken lightly but
always in the interests of the Club.
“We are in a results business and over
the back end of last season and this
season to date, ours have been very
disappointing.
He added: “We would like to place on
record our appreciation of Tony’s
contribution and hard work during a
period of transition for the Club which
included a change of ownership. We wish
him well in his future endeavours.”
Assistant Head Coach Gary Megson has
agreed to take charge of first-team
affairs until further notice.
