Premier League action resumes with the north London derby the star
game of the weekend. Manchester City will look to continue their
dominant form with a trip to the King Power Stadium, while the rest of
the top four chasing pack are separated by four points.
Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur

The first north London derby of the season takes place at the Emirates
Stadium in a game which promises to provide top class excitement. The
players just returned following the international break and it could
be a bit of a challenge getting them up-and-running from the blast of
the whistle.
Sixth-place Arsenal are three spots and four-points off their opponent
but could fancy their chances of clinching a win, a first on the
ground since 2013. Fit-again Harry Kane should be available after
withdrawing from the England squad mainly on precautionary terms.
The last three successive games on this ground have ended in draws
(1-1) and it could take a similar pattern here, though we have to
consider Arsenal are yet to draw at home in the league this season
while Tottenham are also yet to draw on the road, winning all but one
of their away games this campaign.

Crystal Palace vs Everton

Crystal Palace are backed in this game to get something off Everton in
a relegation battle. The home team are bottom of the log while Everton
are 15th on the table.
Roy Hodgson has taken a while to make a positive impact at the Eagles
but the last four weeks before the international break saw Crystal
Palace massively improve, earning one home win and draw in two games,
impressively netting four times in both games.
Considering both teams have conceded an equal number of 22 goals, are
struggling for form and goals-regardless of Everton’s three-goal turn
around in the penultimate game against Watford- we could take solace
from the fact Crystal Palace won their first game of the season (2-1
Chelsea) after last month’s international break and we should not rule
out the same happening here after a longer period working out tactics
on the training ground.

West Brom vs Chelsea

Champions Chelsea make a return to the ground where they clinched the
league title in April and would hope to make it another memorable
visit. West Brom have struggled after a bright start to the season,
losing their last three successive games, picking up a paltry two
points from a possible 15.
The Blues have some injury concern heading into the encounter, Michy
Batshuayi and Tiemoue Bakayoko picked up injuries while training away
on international duty and could be forced to seat this out.
West Brom’s last two home games have seen both teams scoring with a
minimum of four goals recorded in a game, while Chelsea surprisingly
have been involved in low scoring league games, recording successive
1-0 results and three in their last five. If we follow the recent
scoring trend from the last two fixtures between both sides, then we
can expect a single goal to settle the tie in favour of either side
and your guess is as good as ours.

Liverpool vs Southampton

Former Reds player Mauricio Pellegrino is back at Anfield but this
time as an opposition coach. The Argentine has experienced a difficult
start to life managing in the Premier League, the Saints occupying
13th-place.
The reverse fixture last season on this ground was a frustrating and
disappointing outcome for Liverpool who were held to a goalless draw,
but things appear have picked up for the Reds in recent games scoring
a handful of goals while their opponents have struggled to find the
back of the net in the league this season.
Prediction: 2-0
Leicester City vs Manchester City

Manchester City are on course to bag a 10th successive league win away
at Leicester City, a remarkable run which if extended will clearly
heighten talk of Pep Guardiola and team emerging as league champions
this season.
Claude Puel appears to have brought in some stability into the
Leicester City performances in the few games he has managed the team,
seemingly favouring a free role for Riyad Mahrez and a long overdue
and deserved start for Demarai Gray, the youngster gratefully grabbing
the chance to impress.
Recent games between the pair have been very entertaining and this
should not be any different. Guardiola was humbled on his last league
visit to the King Power Stadium and Manchester City have also failed
to claim a league win on this ground in three years, we could fancy an
upset right? But the current Citizens form does not seem to suggest
such; hence we back Manchester City for a win with or without Sergio
Aguero.

Bournemouth vs Huddersfield Town

Eddie Howe must sort out his teams inability to clinch maximum points
at home in league matches this season. The Cherries have impressively
won two away games in their last four league matches but can they nick
a win against Huddersfield Town at the Vitality Stadium?
Huddersfield Town have recently struggled for form on the road,
conceding five goals and failing to score in their last two away
games. The two sides have struggles of theirs and we expect a drab
draw to settle this game.

Manchester United vs Newcastle United

Jose Mourinho and Rafael Benitez renew their age long rivalry when
Manchester United welcomes Newcastle United to Old Trafford in the
day’s last match.
The Red Devils have experienced an indifferent last four weeks, the
swagger and confident start to the season appearing to drop a bit. Big
money signing Romelu Lukaku is on an extended goal scoring barren
spell, failing to find the back of the net in a league game for
seven-weeks. The Magpies on their part have lost successive league
games by the same score line (1-0) and have a mountain to climb to
earn a result here.

Watford vs West Ham

Relegation threatened West Ham United complemented by new manager
David Moyes who takes charge for his first match in-charge of the
Hammers are away at Watford, a team who have lost their three
successive league games.
Marco Silva must be bothered about the alarming decline in form his
team have experienced notably in the thrilling loss to Everton where
they threw away a two-goal lead. West Ham have earned successive away
draws, throwing away a two-goal lead In the London derby away at
Crystal Palace.
Moyes is an experienced manager but recent managerial performances
seem to suggest he is below average. Sooner or later West Ham will get
the necessary results to improve on 18th-place, but their seasons
revival most definitely would not start at Vicarage Road, Watford
backed for a first league win in four games.

Brighton and Hove vs Stoke City

Monday night football returns when high flying Brighton and Hove hosts
Stoke City at the American express. Brighton have ruffled some
feathers in the topflight sitting comfortably in eight-place.
Stoke City on their part, despite a busy summer have struggled and are
battling relegation in 14th-place though their last two games have
seen the Potters earning four points. Considering Monday night matches
are very cagey and lack the intensity of weekend games, and factoring
Brighton have drawn their last two home games, we fancy The Seagulls
earning a third successive draw at home in this fixture.
