French tactician, Emmanuel Lionel Soccoia has informed the management of Kano Pillars to pay his five months unpaid Salaries.

Soccoia resigned his position as the technical adviser of four-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano Pillars, just five months after signing a one year contract with the kano based side.

The former Black Leopard of South Africa coach signed a one year contract with the Sai Masu Gida in October 2020 ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminaries.

Soccoia, whose deal was due to run until the end of the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League season, cited unfulfilled contractual obligations including unpaid five months arrears, interference with regards to team selection, which he described something that is jeopardizing the effectiveness of the team and undermining his role as the the technical adviser.

The former CotonSport gaffer also, highlighted another reason for his resignation, which is the inability of the club to fulfill their obligations of processing his working visa in Nigeria.

According to him, “Mr chairman, I am writing to inform you about my resignation as the technical adviser of Kano pillars football club
This letter will be effective from today the 17th March 2021. The reasons of my resignation are :
-5 months of not salaries
-due to the interference of the squad against kwara United from you the chairman.

“Sir I wish I could continue but the moment you started decieding who comes and goes in the team then I felt I an not needed anymore.

“I wish you and the team all the best going forward
I will be giving the team 1 week to provide my 5 months salaries 25000 dollars ($5000) just in dollars as in my contract that I have worked for Kano pillars fc and my airticket flight for of me coming to the team and leaving back per as agreed you” he said
