Ekiti sport council boss Olusola Osetoba has showered praises to Ekiti born gold medalist Bamidele Ajayi on Monday afternoon at her office in the Oluyemi Kayode stadium.
Bamidele Ajayi who championed during world U-20 athletic championship at Nairobi, Kenya was welcomed with sport lovers and well wishers a he paid courtesy visit to the
council boss.
The elated boss couldn’t hide her joy praised Ajayi for his world class performance in Nairobi, Kenya.
According to Osetoba, she said “I’m proud of you Ajayi. You are our Champion”
She further to by saying “Thank you for doing our state (Ekiti) proud and the country as a whole. We will continue to support you in whatever way to get you to the top”
“Let me say your achievement will not go unrewarded. We will celebrate you and I urge you not to relent in your training because this is just the begining of your rise and success” Osetoba added.
Team Nigeria’s quartet of Bamidele Ajayi, Chidera Johnson Nnamani, Imaobong Nse Uko and Deborah Oke win the country’s first gold medal at the world U-20 Athletics Championship in Nairobi, Kenya.
The quartet set a Championship record of 3:19.70 to win Gold in the mixed 4*409 relay.
