Member of the Ogun state Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Hassan Abdulsalam have won campus sportswriter of the year award at the annual campus journalism Award in Abuja.
The Award is organized by youths digest the publisher of News Digest to celebrate outstanding campus journalists in the country.
Hassan who was shortlisted alongside twenty-nine other students from different tertiary institutions in Nigeria for fifteen different categories, go head to head with Yahaya Sherifdeen from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.
Hassan’s Report titled SPECIAL REPORT: Poor Sports facilities in Ogun tertiary institutions pose great danger to talents discovery won him the award.
The report revealed how sporting facilities in ogun state tertiary institutions suffered maintenance and usage by the students which allow many talents go the drain.
Earlier, Hassan was also awarded as the Most Active Online Sport Journalist in Ogun State by the sports writers Association.
