The Ogun State Basketball team has ended the year with an inhouse friendly competition with a match between the state U15, U17 and the senior Basketball players, nairasports.com.ng reports

The friendly was held at the Basketball court of Alake Sports Centre Ijeja, Abeokuta which was
sponsored by the Parents of Basketball players.

The friendlies ended with All star defeats team Young Royal 87- 86, Team Michael also defeat team Kehinde 26-23.

In a release signed by the Head of PR and Information of Ogun State Sports Council, Bola Giwa disclosed that the friendly was under the strict Compliance on COVID 19.

According to her, “the friendly game which was done under strict compliance with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) safety measures for COVID19, has the teenage, Under 15, Under 17 as well as the coach vs the senior basketballers showcasing their skills to mark the end of the season”

However, Coach Tunde Adelanwa revealed that Basketball has shaped his life, saying sports is a tool to impact on lives.

The son of Veteran Basketball Alabi Adelanwa added that Basketball helped him to develop real world skills to use in every areas of life.

His words, “Basketball has played a major role in shaping the person i am today. While most people generally believe that sports only teach you how to win games or be physically strong, i believe sports has a far greater impact on my life. It has helped me develop real world skills that can be applied to all areas of my life”
