The Kwara State Sports Commission has said it would send Sukurat Aiyelabegan, to the World Table Tennis Youth camp in Tunis, Tunisia.
The Director-General of the Commission, Dr Steve Olarinoye, disclosed this in a statement he issued on Tuesday in Ilorin.
Aiyelabegan, who is ranked 11th in the world at the youth level with 938 points, was invited alongside 12 others to compete at 2021 Youth training camp in Tunis, between Sept. 7 and Sept. 19.
The statement explained that her selection by the International Table Tennis Federation to represent the country was based on the high level of competence inherent in the player.
The statement thanked Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for sponsoring the athlete to the World representation.
