Team Ogun Contingent have Arrived Edo for the 20th National Sports Festival in Edo which commenced on Friday.
NAIRA SPORTS had earlier reported that team Ogun departed Abeokuta on Friday.
In a statement released by the Head of Public Relations and Information of Ogun State Sports Council, Bola Giwa confirmed that team Ogun have arrived Edo safely.
According to her, “The Ogun Team arrived at Benin on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 for the 20th NSF, Edo 2020. This was after all the stipulated Guidelines for Covid 19 precautions has been carried out.
All athletes are lodge at the University of Benin dormitories.
“The following Games are scheduled to start their competition today Sunday, April 4th, 2021.
Swimming, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Abula, Badminton, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Judo, Tennis.
The rest will be communicated as the event unfolds.” She said
However, NAIRA SPORTS confirmed that Ogun athletes will be rewarded N30,000, N20,000, N10,000 for Gold, Silver and Bronze medalists.
