“Sports is an essential component of our existence, good health. We may promote sports for the the sake of commerce and trade. The days are done when we say children should not play football. Sports is a veritable source of income for families and community.
“It is a great unifying factor. It has language of its own. It is what unites the nation. When we see people that write and promote the essential component of our existence, we need to support them to thrive for success.”
Hon. Adebutu, however, said the N1million donation is to provide four sets of jersey for the semi finalists, cash prize award, commemorative shirts, and trophies for the winners.
