John Muiruri Mburu of Kenya has won the men’s category of the 2020 Kaduna Marathon put together by the Kaduna State Government in conjunction with highly rated sports marketing company, Nilayo Sports Management Limited NSML.
The Kenyan outclassed other elite athletes to emerge as the maiden winner of the event.
In the female category, another Kenyan Caren Maiyo was the cynosure of all eyes.
Caren Maiyo ran to victory in a category that had another Kenyan elite athlete, Joycline Jepkosgei who ran one hour, four minutes, fifty one seconds in the Spain Circuit Championship in 2017.
Home boy Mohammed Sani Musa won the five Kilometers event while Kangyang Solomon and Gyang David both of Plateau state won the female and male categories of the 10km event.
Winners of the 21Km events were presented with cheques of ten thousand dollars each.
