The President of Nigerian Football Federation, Amavin Melvin Pinnick, has revealed that if local leagues are performing very well they will earn Super Eagles Call up

Pinnick revealed this at the foundation laying ceremony of Ogun FA House in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

He added that players abroad are all Nigerians and we should segregate them from local players, saying the coach will go round the country to watch local players

“The players from abroad are all Nigerians and please don’t try to separate players playing abroad and home, if players in domestic league are doing very well the coach will call, the part of the contract is to go round the country and see the best players, every coach wants to win and they need good players, don’t let us try to separate players playing abroad and here” he said

The NFF said further that the Ogun Football House will help to discover talents from the grassroots and keep data of players discovered.

His words, “This also provides shelter for youth development, it’s not just discovering players we need to have a secretariat, this will bring football to the grassroots, and enable them to have proper analysis and Data of all players so that they don’t falsify age and it help have access to FIFA connect programs .The plan in 2021 is to qualify for Nations cup and go into the world cup”

On postponing the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) due to second wave of COVID19, pinnick said steps and consultation will determine the next line of action on the league

“We will look at things before we can take steps on the league that just resumed, we are following global world because they are playing football globally amidst COVID 19, we can’t keep keeping our youths at home, COVID is about life and living” he added
