Development of Sports at the grassroot and academic environment was what drove Ibitoye Victor, CEO, Vicolas Groups, Item7 and Top Logistics.
In an exclusive interview with a Sport Journalist, Victor, a businessman and major sponsor of Vicolas/Item7 Olympics, explains the reason behind the competition.
According to him, the competition was organized with a view of giving back to his Alma mater; a community where he also engages in his business.
“We have been organizing competitions like this for over 4years, but this year happens to be the biggest to be organized. The reason for this is because we have successfully expanded our brand, so we decided to give back to the public what we have made from the public.” He said.
“This isn’t the first time we experienced competitions like this in the academic environment but the style Vicolas/Item7 Olympics brings is classic.” He added.
According to Ibitoye, the competition goal is to preach love and unity in the environment.
“We believe in the ideology of the present government of Ekiti State to revive Sport at the grassroot and it is our goal to do the same.”
Ibitoye Victor used to be a striker nicknamed “Drogba” during his undergraduate days in Ekiti state university.
