The Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has revealed that he had fulfill his promise to restore the lost glory of the state owned football club, Shooting stars Sports Club.

This was revealed immediately 3SC booked a slot in the Nigeria elite league, Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Saturday afternoon.

3SC picked one of the southern slot on Saturday at the Nigeria National League Super 8 at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu, after recording a victory against Bendel insurance, share spoils with Remo stars and thrashed Ekiti United on the final day and qualified with seven points.

Makinde on his verified Twitter handle said, “We promised in 2018 to restore the lost glory of our darling Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC). Today, it is a promise kept. Our 3SC thrashed Ekiti United 6:0 to clinch the last 3 points needed to get back into the NPFL after being relegated to the NNL in 2017. Up Shooting!!!” he tweeted

Gombe United and Niger Tornadoes also returned to NPFL.
