The first leg of the U13 tourney saw the young Blazers face a matured and experienced Famous FA in a game that was considered the match of the day with the electric performance from both side as the two side were always on the attack.
Famous FA and Ablaze are known to be two wonderful friends and it was more of a competitive family game for both side as the intensity of the game set the interest of many to watch.
Baby Blazers goalkeeper Akinola Emmanuel gave a classic performance as he continues his good run of performance between the sticks as he calmly denied the Famous FA electric attackers,keeping the scoreline at 0-0 for the first half.
Akinpelu Mayowa popular as Oscar who was loaned to Ablaze FA during the IDFA Junior League grabbed a second half brace after the Blazers have missed several clear cut chances in both halves of the game with Agoro Tobiloba been a major culprit though he gave an explosive performance in attack.
Taye came in for Paul in the second half to strengthen the attack and he ended his goal drought with a beautiful well worked goal which saw Ariko Samuel Baby Blazers right back whip in a low cross which he connected with his trademark movement.
Agoro got a chance to seal a draw late into the game with another clear cut chance but blasted it wide before the final whistle came few minutes later.
With the Blazers receiving praises from the opponent manager and other coaches for a brave and an entertaining game,the manager believe it’s a hard mountain to climb against a team like Famous FA.
Ablaze Football Academy lads knew they gave a good fighting spirit performance and played to win but were disappointed to record a loss back home.
