Former Super Falcons Ex-Coach and Nigerian International Ismaila Mabo aged 79 is dead after battle with a protracted illness.
The Coach was credited with leading Nigeria to their best ever outing at the Women’s World Cup, when he lead the team to the Quarterfinals in 1999 FIFA Women World Cup. He also lead the team to the Summer Olympics in 2000 and 2004.
Imaila Mabo led the Super Falcons to its first ever African Women’s Cup Of Nations triumph in impressive fashion. The team scored 28 goals and didn’t concede a single goal throughout the tournament.
He will be buried according to Islamic rites in Jos, Plateau State
