Furuto have bowed out of the CAF Confederation Cup after losing to Rivers United in a penalty shoot out after playing 3-3 on aggregates of the preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
With the first leg ended 1-2 in favour Futuro Kings in Equatorial Guinea last week.

Reacting after the match, Kehinde Adedipe told NAIRASPORTS that he had promised his wife that he will score and he fulfil his promise, saying further that they should expect more from Rivers United.
According to him, “It was a dream come true for scoring today because I promise my wife that I’m going to score for her and with the glory of God I did. They should expect more from Rivers United this season” he said
