The Blazers thought all hope was lost after a 1-1 draw against Bethel Fc however a call from the organisers for their qualification changed the mood in the camp of the Blazers after they thought it was impossible.
Two teams were to qualify from Lagos State but the plans changed to just one which saw Bethel Fc go through on goal difference,after the Blazers were able to savour more wins than goals.
Ablaze Football Academy won all their matches in style as usual dominating play before meeting a more resilient Fc Bethel who hasn’t conceded throughout the tournament and the last time the two met Ablaze won 0-1 away from home.
However Fc Bethel took the fight to Ablaze but the blazers struck first with a well worked beautiful tiki taka ball from the defence on their second attempt to attack and a well sent in low cross saw Haddi tap in. But Tobi with 10 minutes to go couldn’t make a clear cut clearance which saw the Bethel toe the ball at Rotimi who made a good reflex save but the rebounds was tapped into the net to make it 1-1.
The game ended in a draw as Bethel once again couldn’t get the best on the Blazers but were able to qualify on goal difference. However a review on how exceptional Blazers played made the organisers consider the team with them not losing any game and giving one of the best performance.
Ablaze Football Academy will be off to Abuja where they play against 7 other teams all over Nigeria who have qualified for the nationals.
There they will have a chance of meeting with Hunteleer and some Bayern coaches so as a chance to take a picture with the Bundesliga trophy. The big one is the chance to go to Germany for the Bayern Youth World Cup and also meet with Bayern Munich first team.
