On their official club website, the Catalan giant confirms they have agreed to sell Arthur Melo to Juventus for a reported fee of about 72 million euros, plus 10 million euros in variables. Barcelona made the sale of Arthur known to the public this evening but made it clear that the Brazilian won’t be joining the Italian club until the end of the official competition in the 2019/2020 campaign.

Arthur Melo joined FC Barcelona on the 12th of July 2018 from Gremio and he has currently played 72 games for the Spanish club – 47 matches in the league, 10 games in the Copa del Rey, 13 in the Uefa Champions League and just a game in the Spanish Super Cup. In all these football matches, Arthur was only able to manage four goals in his two years spell in Barcelona.

According to many reliable sources, Juventus central midfielder, Miralem Pjanić, will be replacing the 24 years old Brazilian at the Nou Camp as from next season. The switching of clubs by both players is not a straight swap deal – Barcelona will also a fee around €60M euros to the Old Ladies for the services of the 30 years old Italian player.
