As we prepare for the return of the Premier League which is set to kick-start on the 17th of June 2020. Let’s talk about the average weekly wages of the players in the league.

Just as we know, the Premier League has flaunted her riches in recent years in persuading the best of legs to play in arguably the most exciting and beautiful league around Europe and on earth.

The Arab Money guys came to the league with a lot of money to persuade the best players available for sale as at then (Robinho, Aguero e.t.c to mention a few) to sign for Manchester City rivalring local rivals Manchester United forward trophies, players, endorsement and more in the city of Manchester.

Today, Manchester City tops the list of most played footballers in the league with Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Kun Aguero their top earners and local rival, Manchester United are not even in the top 3. Yes, you read that right.

The Premier league runaway leaders, Liverpool comes second with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane amongst the highest paid in the club.

Roman Abramovich’s army, Chelsea FC comes third on the list while London rival Arsenal comes fourth.

  1. Manchester City – £115,000
  2. Liverpool FC – £100,000
  3. Chelsea FC – £95,000
  4. Arsenal FC – £92,000
  5. Manchester United – £90,000
  6. Tottenham Hotspur – £72,500
  7. Everton – £65,000
  8. West Ham United – £65,000
  9. Crystal Palace – £55,000
  10. Leicester City – £50,000
  11. Southampton – £50,000
  12. Newcastle United – £38,000
  13. Wolves – £36,673
  14. Bournemouth – £35,000
  15. Burnley – £35,000
  16. Brighton Albion – £30,000
  17. Watford – £30,000
  18. Aston Villa – £25,000
  19. Norwich City – £12,000
  20. Sheffield United – £90,000

Unsurprisingly, Aston Villa, Norwich City, and Sheffield United occupied the bottom three as they gained promotion to the Premier League this season after their exploits in the Championship.
