The stage is set as the 2021 Remo Mini Sports Festival is set to start on Thursday, December 16, and runs through to Saturday, December 18, at Gateway International Stadium Sagamu Ogun State.
Eight sports will be on display during the festival; athletics, football, table tennis, cycling, chess, boxing, para soccer, and basketball.
The football event will kick off on Thursday with semi-final games between Sagamu Local Government FC and Remo Stars Feeders FC while Ikenne FC and Remo North FC trade tackles in the second semi-final match.
Football, athletics, and 3×3 basketball events only accommodates the Under 20 (U-20) age category in a bid to discover new talents.
Table tennis event is in cadet, junior, and senior categories as boxing events will be contested for in 45kg female, 46kg male, 52kg male, 56kg male, 60kg male, 64kg male, 75kg male, and 51kg female.
The festival will also serve as an avenue to prepare Remo athletes for the Ise Ya Games.
