Why i organized the championship – Foluke
Reacting after the success of the championship, Foluke explained why she organized the championship.
The France-based player said that she wants to help her colleagues improve their games with the mini-tournament.
She said, “This tournament is to encourage and support them in my little way. Players can improve if they participate in regular tournaments.
“The Tournament is just for them to exhibit what they have been training for for a while. The Players train every day, and if there is no tournament for them to prove their training, a tournament will allow them to value their training.”
On his part, the winner of the men’s category, Akanbi appealed to the Government and philanthropists to organize more competitions for them.
He said, “We don’t have a tournament, the little one we are playing, we just have to show our ability and we appreciate the sponsor, if more people like this that love their colleagues and organize little tournaments like this for us, we will keep learning.
“This little championship goes a long way for us and it will make players who are neglecting the game come back.”
