The Captain of Sierra Leone, Kevin Wright hailed his team performance against the super Eagles of Nigeria in Match day three of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Leone Stars came from behind from 4 goals early in the first half pick a point in a game that ended 4-4 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Friday evening.
The captain of the Sierra Leone national team while speaking to the press after the match, hailed his teammates for a job well done in getting the draw.
He also spoke about how they could have won the match if they had performed better in the first half and at how much he was looking forward to the return leg in Freetown.
He said” no, we are not underrated, I don’t think so. In the 2nd half, we stepped up our game, improved alot, attacked more with more confidence. I don’t think we were underrated, we just upped our performance.
The return leg comes up in on Tuesday in Freetown.
