It was drama last weekend for all teams in the tournament as underdogs came up to shock favourites and little stars were discovered even by individual coaches.
From the super turn around of Tbliz Rangers against Dominion FA to the astonishing performance of Circle Range against Defenses FA,H2H FA late goal against favourite Victory Ones FA to the hammering of Espanyol FA by Ablaze FA, it was a day of young spirited lad showing their skills.
DEFENSES FA 0 VS 0 CIRCLE RANGE (PK—3:4)
The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw with everyone expecting Defenses Fa to dominate the game and win but Circle Range forced the favourites to the penalty shootout after ending it 0-0 at full time with both sides not having any clear cut chances.
Defenses FA struck their first penalty off the post and another wide as Circle Range scored most to keep him in the tournament and book a place against the Blazers in the quarter finals.
DOMINION FA 0 VS 2 TBLIZ RANGERS (PK—1:3)
After losing the first leg 2-0 to Dominion FA the Rangers came with a spirited performance as they came all out to attack,the underdogs had their striker Daniel back from injury and it gave them a boost, an early goal came as Daniel struck the free-kick into the net while the Rangers young winger made it 0-2 before half time to make it 2-2.
Second half saw a more purposeful football from Dominion FA who began to run riot on the TBLIZ Rangers defense but ended up in the penalty shootout with the Dominion side losing 2 spot kicks (caught by the goalkeeper) and Rangers missing 1,this saw the underdogs go through to the quatre finals to face H2H FA.
JANUARIO FA 3 VS 0 LEO FA (2nd Leg)
Januario FA came into the game with a 0-2 first leg win but Leo FA failed to show up for the second leg knowing its a difficult mountain to climb which earned the JAN. side a 3 goals and qualification spot to face Ablaze Football Academy this Saturday.
H2H FA 1 VS 0 VICTORY ONES FA
A late second half goal with 2 minutes left of normal time saw H2H FA shock the tournament favourites as they went into the game on a 0-0 tie in the first leg.
Victory Ones FA had it all in the hands to win but were denied severally by a studied defence with ball been swept off the goal-line at different cases.
H2H will be up against a resilient Tblizz Rangers who looks to keep causing top teams upset in the tournament.
BLAZERS FA 3 vs 0 WATER FA (WALK-OVER)
ESPANYOL FA 0 VS 9 ABLAZE FA
Ablaze Fa were merciless in attack as they look to give their team mate Kingsley a birthday gift with a win which he eventually got an hat trick in the game.
Ablaze FA win saw them cruise to quatre finals in style with the team facing Januario FA in a game that is probably the most difficult in the quatre final games on Saturday.
