The commissioner of sports and youth development in Ogun state, Mr Afolabi Afuape assured the people of Abeokuta that Moshood Abiola international stadium (M.K.O) will host Gateway united home games this season.
He spoke with www.nairasports.com.ng at the just concluded Nigeria Medical Association games (NMA) on Thursday.
The state owned club, Gateway united is currently In the Nigeria National League (NNL).
Afuape assured the people of Abeokuta that the home games of Gateway united will be played at the M.K.O stadium this season.
“I am assuring Abeokuta people that MKO Stadium will host Gateway again this season” he said.
He also acknowledge other cities In the state that they can also host the owned state club.
” Ilaro, ijebu and Abeokuta are all cities in Ogun state and anyone of them can host the club” he said.
However, he appealed to the players and management of gateway united to strive hard that they can be promoted to the Nigeria professional football league (NPFL).
