Super Eagles and Chelsea superstar, Victor Moses is delighted with how things panned out for him in 2017.
Though Moses missed out on the BBC African Footballer Of the Year Award and also failed to make the final three-man shortlist for the 2017 African Footballer of the Year award, he is still happy with what he calls a great year.
For Moses, being recognized and earning a nomination from the array of players is not a mean feat in itself.“I must have done well. It felt good to be nominated.
I’ve worked so hard. It’s a bit crazy and shows how far I’ve come,” Moses was quoted as saying in the Daily Star.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner recently returned to action for Chelsea after missing out for six weeks as a result of the injury he picked up in a league match against his former club Crystal Palace.
Despite the little setback, he claimed he has enjoyed his time at the club this year.“It’s been a great year for me. I’ve really enjoyed it, but want to keep it going.
”Indeed, Moses had a memorable 2016/2017 season with Chelsea, winning the Premier League title for the first time and becoming a regular member of the team under Antonio Conte.
He also helped Nigeria become the first African country to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia in a group that had two of the continent’s powerhouses Cameroon and Algeria.
