The Nigeria football federation (NFF), has appealed to Nigerians that the world cup Jersey is not yet available for sale in the market.
Recall that the Jersey was launched last month in London by the NFF and the official sportswear manufacturer(NIKE).
While making its appeal on Friday via Twitter @NGsupereagles, NFF promised to inform the public when the jersey is ready.
” Our new 2018 kit by Nike are not yet available on sale. As soon as they are, we will let you know. Everything currently being advertised and sold now is fake. Support the Super Eagles, buy original.”
Meanwhile, Nigerians were swift in their reactions to the post made by the NFF on twitter.
Some of the tweets gathered by Nairasports, expressed displeasure at the choice of location where the jersey was launched.
Tweets are as quoted below:
“M. A. Dangalan @dangalan_jnr, We don’t care to buy the original that is the way we can only punish you for not launching it in our beloved country. God bless Nigeria, God bless Aba marketers.
“I 2 Da K @ghbrhielo, Jersey that you did not launch in nigeria, Biko sell the original in that place, we’ll make our own.
“Orebola Oresanya @bolaores, But this is shameful, other countries have theirs available already, less than 90 days to the world cup. First it was launched in another country and now it is not yet available. It can only be Naija.
“Reginald okechukwu @iwuolaokechukw2 You guys @Nike launched it in another country yet want Nigerians to buy it in Nigeria. @BBNaija in south Africa yet Nigerians vote. You think we are fools wait make Nigerians buy that Jersey for 30k. While Aba boys can get us a quality replica for 5k.”
