Asisat Oshoala returned to action yesterday evening as Barcelona defeated Bayern Munich 0-1 in a UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final first leg match in Munich.
Oshoala replaced English striker Toni Duggan in the 64th minute as Barcelona won the match via a 63rd minute goal by Kheira Hamraoui.
The French international is a good friend of Oshoala and provided the pass with which Oshoala scored her first ever goal in Barcelona colours.
Hamraoui had been taking long shots at goal all evening long and she had previously hit the cross bar.
Oshoala had been out for more than a month with a hamstring injury and her return yesterday will give Super Falcons fans the hope that she will be back to full form before the World Cup in France.
