The Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) Ogun State has inaugurated new Executives to drive the affairs of the Federation.
During the inauguration ceremony with the Chairman, other executive members and guests, the new executive who took their oath of office, were admonished on the need to continue to the effective growth of grassroots sports.
YSFON Secretary-General, Patrick Okpavuehe appreciate the people of Ogun State and claimed that Ogun has produced talents urging the new executives to develop more talents.
“We appreciate the government and the people of Ogun state for supporting grassroots which make the state produced talents,” he said.
In his speech, the State Chairman of YSFON, Alhaji Waheed Adeoye Lawal said that the federation has sealed a five-year deal with a talent hunt sporting firm, Afrik-Europe International Sporting Management to develop sports in Ogun.
His words, “Few weeks ago , Afrik-Europe International Sporting Management with our ex-International, Christopher Nwosu as president has agreed to an initial 5-year partnership deal with Ogun State YSFON, this will in no small measure pop up the already classified youth sports programmes in the state”
Other executive members of the State YSFON inaugurated, include a former member and Chairman of Youth and Sports Committee of the State House of Assembly, Hon.Olufemi Allen-Taylor as Vice-Chairman, Kehinde Adeyemi (Secretary), Ahmed Fatai(Assistant Secretary), Babalola Semiu Adesina (Treasurer), Alhaja Kudirat Odebiyi (Financial Secretary), Henry Oviawe (Technical Training Officer), former State Chairman of SWAN, Biodun Alabi(Publicity Secretary), Kayode Sofolu (Organizing Secretary) and Segun Williams (Welfare Officer).
