The Ogun state based team, Gateway united has recorded three matches unbeaten at the ongoing Nigeria National league (NNL) after defeating Dynamite Fc a goal to nil.
Oluwole Johnson goal in the 50th minutes secured the maximum points at the MKO Abiola international stadium on Monday.
The victory guaranteed the Rock city boys their status and can still earn a ticket to the super eight play off.
Gateway had earlier defeated Nnewi United a goal to nil away from home and defeated Calabar Rovers on home soil.
Reacting to the victory, Gateway united Head Coach Hakeem Busari told NAIRA SPORTS that his team performance in the league so far has been outstanding after starting the season on a poor note.
He stated further that they will pick maximum points away against Ekiti United in their last league match.
“Even though our destiny is no longer in our hands, we will still do our best to ensure we finish on a high, with this kind of performance, we can pick points anywhere, and I believe we are ready mentally”.
“It is our dream to win a playoff ticket, but if all we can do is to maintain our status and finish in the top two, we haven’t done badly considering how we started the season” he said
Gateway will lock with Ekiti United on Saturday in their last league game of the season.
