Amidst the departure of the former Ekiti United coach Samson Omiponle, the management of Ekiti Fc has heaped praises on the Governor of Ekiti state, Dr Kayode Fayemi for his support in the Nigeria National League and their maiden appearance in NNL Super 8 in Enugu.
The Management Board headed by Mrs Funke Babalola has promised to make a better contractual agreement in the process of employing coaches to avoid unexpected snatching of Ekiti United coaches and players in future.
In the Board meeting, 18 out of 38 players on the payroll of the team were declared sacked while some players have also been allowed to join new teams .
Meanwhile, Interested coaches are expected to route their CV to the team’s email between today Saturday 2 and Tuesday October 5, 2021 as several coaches across the country has shown interest.
Secretary of Board, Ayodeji Olowolafe said Ministry of Youth and sports Development headed by the commissioner, Hon. Michael Awopetu had given the team an enabling environment to perform optimally and support Ekiti United FC to an enviable height.
In same vein, Ekiti United FC management urged supporters to be relentless and more persistent as efforts to get support from private and corporate bodies to complement State government’s regular funding will increase.
