A professor of the Department of Sports and Exercise Medical Sciences School of Sports and Exercise Medicine University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Ghana, Professor Oluwaseun Omotayo have Charged the state Governor, Dapo Abiodun to Sign Ogun State Sports Commission into law.
NAIRASPORTS had earlier reported that the State House of Assembly had passed the State Sports Commission law 2019 and State Sports Trust Fund Law bill.
The bills titled “HB No 025/OG/2019- A Bill for a law to provide for the Establishment of the Ogun State Sports Commission and for Connected Purposes” and “H.B No. 26/OG/2019- A Bill for a Law to Provide for the Establishment of the Ogun State Sports Trust Fund and for Connected Purposes” got the unanimous approval of lawmakers, at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo.

Professor said that the Governor should sign the bill and constitute competent individuals to drive the affairs of the Commission
He said, “Rather unfortunate for stadium named after the first Nigeria football Ambassador Mudashiru Babatunde Lawal. I hope from comments of Remi Hassan Spokes Person for Government, H.E Dapo Abiodun will do the needful in the matter of Sports Development via the instrumentality of the Governor signing into law the Sports Commission and Trust Fund bills that have long been passed by the State House of Assembly and action same bills by constituting the two bodies with competent individuals.
“It is hoped that the Governor shall listen to several calls by well meaning Ogun State indigenes that he should by an Executive order dissolve the State Sports Council and constitute the Ogun State Sports Commission and Ogun State Sports Development The rust Fund”.
