The new deal can be agreed to keep 2019 AFCON Top scorer at Old Trafford until January 2021.
Ighalo’s current loan is set to conclude on Sunday but there is hope that he will be able to remain at Old Trafford until the end of 2020.
Former Watford joined United on loan on the last day of the January transfer window in a deal that would keep him at the club until May 31.
