Professor Bolaji Aluko has been appointed as the patron of Gbonyin local football council. The former vice chancellor of Federal University Oteokpe Bayelsa state was endorsed on Wednesday during a courtesy visit of the Ekiti football association to the council.

The team led by Mr. Bayo Lanlege and Mr. Idowu chairman and Secretary respectively had a meeting with the Gbonyin local football council as regard issues relating to sport development in the vicinity. The Executives appreciated the leadership of the Ekiti football association under the chairman Mr. Bayo Lanlege.

The executive went further to say that Gbonyin comprises of eight towns which are; Agbado, Asisegba, Egbe, Ijan, ilu’moba and Imesi ile Ekiti. The local council informed the Ekiti FA about her plan to identify grassroot talents in Gbonyin local government.

The local council also called out for football enthusiasts to come up with football activities in the local government.

However, Aisegba community grammar school have been approved officially for football events in the local government.
