Furuto have bowed out of the CAF Confederation Cup after losing to Rivers United in a penalty shoot out after playing 3-3 on aggregates of the preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup.

With the first leg ended 1-2 in favour Futuro Kings in Equatorial Guinea last week.

Reacting after the match, Stanley Egunma has declared that his players fought hard for the qualifications

According to him, “It was not an easy game, it was a difficult game, but I thank God and the players too. We put on a spirited effort even when we conceded that goal against run of play.”

“Today, we have decided to win, we outplayed our opponents and got two early goals, we should have increased the tally before they got their goal which kept us per, but I think it was a good game today and we have qualifed for the next round.”
