Austin Jay Jay Okocha is a former Nigerian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for the Super Eagles and various teams across Europe.
In 2008, Okocha retired from football which was a surprise to some but the former BBC African Player of the year said not getting enough playing time was one of the reasons he decided to retire at 34.
Okocha made his official debut for Nigeria in their 2-1 1994 FIFA World Cup Qualifier away loss against Ivory Coast in May 1993 and since then he has been a key member of the Super Eagles.
According to Transfer market, Jay Jay scored a total of 99 goals during his career while also scoring over ten goals for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
